Studies show that approximately 75% of school-aged children with learning difficulties have retained PRIMITIVE REFLEXES. Primitive reflexes emerge in utero and should be integrated no later than 2 years of age. Teachers will learn how to screen for 4 significant retained primitive reflexes which can negatively impact student’s learning, concentration, and attention as well as behaviour and emotional wellbeing: MORO, Tonic Labyrinthine Neck Reflex, Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex, and Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex. Through collaborative learning and workshops, you will also learn various movement-based and play-based exercises to integrate primitive reflexes. You will learn how to build the lower levels of a child’s brain with movement-based exercises for better attention and focus, balance and coordination, emotional grounding, visual and spatial awareness, core muscle strength, hand-eye coordination, sensory integration, and self-regulation.
Course is approved for 3EPV Days.
