Sustainable Energy in Action! A hands-on and practical event at Mount Lucas Wind Farm & Nearly Zero Energy Building Centre, Co Offaly

Sustainable Energy in Action! A hands-on and practical event at Mount Lucas Wind Farm & Nearly Zero Energy Building Centre, Co Offaly

An in-person event to see Sustainable Energy come alive! This learning hub is ideal for getting a deeper insight into Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, all in one location. Teachers will be guided in how to take energy and climate action in their school while linking in with the various curricula at Primary and Post Primary. For some teachers it may be with their class or a year group, for others it might be with a full school community. Teachers will be encouraged to share ideas and support each other - schools who have already actioned change and those who wish to start on their sustainability journey. After the workshop, teachers will have the opportunity to tour the Centre and the Wind Farm followed by a light lunch. * Nearly Zero Energy Buildings - since 2019 all buildings must be built to the NZEB standard.
