This webinar explores the field of distance learning in the event of an unexpected school closure in line with DES guidelines. It looks at strategies and supports for pupils with special educational needs.

Facilitated by Geraldine O' Loughlin & Marie Ryan NCSE. 

Geraldine O Loughlin is a teaching Principal of Scoil Mhuire Náisiunta, Corofin, Co Clare. She has a graduate Diploma and a Masters of Education in the area of Special Education. She is currently on secondment with the National Council for Special Education, working as a member of the Primary Inclusion Team.

Marie Ryan is Principal of Birdhill National School, in County Tipperary. She has a background in Special Education, including a Masters Degree in Special Education and 12 years experience in St Vincents Special School, Lisnagry. She is currently on secondment with the National Council for Special Education.

Both facilitators are passionate about the area of Special education and the provision for pupils with special educational needs.
