This webinar will present a range of evidence-based st rategies to support best practice in the role\, as well as allow time for engagement. \;  \; By engaging in this webinar\, participants will be enabled to:  \; Become aware of a range of evidence- based frameworks to guide their work as an SNA Learn about evidenc e-based methods to support pupils’ care needs and develop their independ ence \; Become aware of recent national research related to th e SNA role \; Reflect on means by which they can improve their daily practice through evidence-based methodologies when supporting pupil s with SEN Dr. Claire Griffin is an Educational Psychologist and l ecturer in Educational and Developmental Psychology at Mary Immaculate Col lege (MIC)\, Limerick. Claire is also programme leader of the B.Ed in Educ ation and Psychology programme. Claire originally worked within primary an d special education settings and in residential care centres for persons w ith intellectual disabilities. Claire completed her PhD in 2018 through Un iversity College London. This research explored the preparedness and deplo yment of Special Needs Assistance when supporting the behavioural care nee ds and independence development of children in primary schools. Claire con tinues to engage in applied work with schools and families\, with the aim of supporting evidence-based best practice.
